Job Title
Systems Engineering - Advisor IKey Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a private image registry framework (FMK) that facilitates the storage, management, and distribution of container images.
- Implement security best practices for the registry, ensuring secure access and image integrity.
- Automate workflows related to image building, scanning, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate the image registry with existing container orchestration platforms (OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes).
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the image registry, addressing any issues that arise.
- Create documentation and provide training on the use and management of the private image registry.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to containerization and image management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience with container platforms, specifically OpenShift and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Expertise in Docker file creation, containers, and Docker image management/hardening.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages, including Bash and Python.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies.
- Experience with Git pipelines for version control and CI/CD automation.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), along with package management and security experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with container security practices and image vulnerability scanning tools.
- Certifications in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, or related fields.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
