BUSINESS SEGMENT AND ROLE OVERVIEW
Equities & FICC: We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.
Goldman Sachs Agency Lending (GSAL) offers a variety of securities lending services including: Agency Lending, Auction and Administrative Services. We are responsible for negotiating and administering loans of securities (both equity and fixed income) across 35 markets (Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific). Our client base covers a diverse range of institutions, e.g., investment managers, insurance companies and pension plans.
The person will work in the GS Agency Lending (GSAL) Trading Team in Paris performing Trading, Book Management, Risk Management and Reporting Tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze client inventory and related demand to negotiate new loans and manage existing loans
- Analyze client data, provide reporting and transparency to clients, and respond to various client inquiries
- Create and distribute internal trading reports
- Minimize operational risk by working with relevant internal and external contacts
- Develop and manage day-to-day trading relationship(s) with counterparts
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Must have strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent time and risk management skills
- Entrepreneurial attitude
- Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required
- Strong academic record with Bachelor’s degree, above or equivalent in finance, economics or a related discipline required
