Our analysts work on client-focused research in the equity, fixed-income, currency, and commodities markets, mining big data that enters markets around the world each day to identify game-changing insights. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an economist to join the US Economics team in New York. Economists will:

  • Write weekly economic research reports for a large global audience
  • Present the team’s economic views to a wide range of clients globally
  • Forecast GDP, the labor market, inflation, and monthly economic indicators
  • Closely follow and forecast US monetary policy decisions
  • Interpret and comment on high-frequency economic data releases

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD in Economics or other strong research experience in markets or at a central bank
  • Strong interest in macroeconomics and monetary policy
  • Experience producing original and ambitious economic research
  • Solid background in econometric analysis, statistics, math, and programming
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle a demanding workload

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
