Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in product management including providing vision, strategy development, data-influenced planning, prioritization, and directing launches.
  • 6 years of experience managing a team of product managers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using machine learning to solve user problems.
  • Deep understanding of the creator economy, anticipating and shaping evolving trends.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex projects with multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Successful track record in defining, executing, and delivering against goals to drive business impact.

We help creators turn their passions into sustainable businesses with the largest revenue sharing program in the creator economy and offer insights to help them grow their channels.

As the Director of Product Management for Creator Growth and Earnings, you will lead the team that drives strategy and execution of creator, media company, and music partner payments. You will be responsible for shaping the future of the creator economy including how creators make money across the many formats and ways to earn on YouTube. You will partner with the YouTube Partner Program product team to define the vision and execute the roadmap to ensure YouTube remains the global leader in creator business generation. You'll also design and develop ML and GenAI-based recommendations that drive creator growth and success on YouTube.

This leadership role guides YouTube's strategy and product roadmap across creator growth, earnings and payments, delivering a transformative impact to Google. By defining the vision and making critical product decisions, you will directly shape the future of the creator economy and help creators be more successful on YouTube.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and own the YouTube creator growth and earnings product vision and roadmap across all formats and ways to earn. Ensure we make accurate and timely payments across our complex ecosystem of partners.
  • Drive strategic alignment and buy-in at the C-suite level by collaborating on solutions with cross-functional leaders across YouTube.
  • Develop ML-based recommendations to help creators grow their channels and earnings.
  • Apply strong business acumen to align product efforts with overarching business objectives and business generation strategies.
  • Grow and develop a high-performing product team by attracting, growing, and retaining the world’s best talent.
