About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Product Marketing Manager for Japan, you will be a key contributor to the Google business, engaging with users and developers. You will translate insights into campaigns and innovative marketing programs that resonate with the local audience.

You are solution-oriented, with an ability to balance the execution of fine details. You are motivated to achieve goals, view obstacles as challenges, and collaborate with different roles to bring great experiences to users.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the marketing campaign for Google Play to drive user loyalty and contribute to grow the business.
  • Leverage user research, social listening, and market analysis to develop insights that inform the strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and developers. Partner with local teams, as well as global/regional marketing team to ensure high-quality and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Improve performance by leveraging data analysis and experimentation to test hypotheses and adjust campaigns on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as a go-to person. Build relationships internally and externally, act as a go-to person of the campaign, and drive the campaign performance with minimal guidance.
