Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in consumer or business marketing.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to work with local partners and agencies and create marketing content for Japanese audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing and advertising with the knowledge of Google’s ad products.
  • Experience with Google sheets or slides or other related spreadsheet and presentation tools.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent organizing and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

In this role, you will be required to develop an understanding of consumer behavior and customer insights, identify and analyze tests within the marketing and advertising landscape, and craft and activate messages and communication plans that shape the future of the Google brand in the industry. You will work with cross-functional teams, including Business, Ads product specialists, Corporate communication, marketing, etc.Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for building the standards of digital ads ecosystem with the focus on Google Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered ads, Retail and owned media management.
  • Identify and analyze the changes of society and consumer insights and influence the marketing innovations.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs and incorporate learnings.
