Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing, technology, publishing, or related fields with demonstrated interest.
  • Ability to work separately, remain comfortable with ambiguity, and self-direct projects in an unstructured environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to process analysis to simple communications.
  • Excellent program management and communication skills with the ability to manage various projects across multiple stakeholders.

About the job

Developer Marketing is focused on driving the success of Google's developer platforms, such as Android, Google Assistant, AR/VR, and others, by delivering global, scalable programs, events and creative marketing campaigns to engage software engineers and developers. You will have a passion for innovative software technology and an understanding of how developers use our APIs and tools to achieve business growth. Working closely with other product marketing managers, engineers, designers, and others to own, drive, and execute a wide range of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, programs and feature launches, craft compelling product messaging and positioning, and recommend product improvements based on user insights and market analysis.
  • Develop external communications, including event narratives, blog posts, and other marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to understand consumer insights, positioning and product performance.
  • Work with regional and local marketing teams to communicate marketing goals and objectives and ensure global campaign alignment.
  • Represent developers or publishers in the region by showcasing unique market nuances, providing deep insights and shepherding product and brand development that best serve audience needs.
