Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
- Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building and releasing new products at scale, globally.
- Experience applying GAI or LLMs to improve enterprise AI applications.
- Experience developing/launching enterprise products/technologies serving AI use-cases.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, research, UX, finance, marketing and sales, and other stakeholders.
- Experience navigating complex organizational structures to optimize outcomes across different teams, business units, and products.
- Strong product management, business acumen, analytical and stakeholder management skills, great attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to get to the big picture to drive prioritization.
About the job
As the Director of Product Management for Applied AI you will lead the strategy for Google Cloud's advanced AI solutions, driving the "Agentic transformation" by integrating cutting-edge research from Gemini and DeepMind into practical enterprise applications. You will define the product vision for Enterprise Agents, foster cross-organizational alignment, and engage with C-level customers to shape the next generation of AI-powered business solutions.Applied AI builds conversational agents deployed at a large scale that achieve very meaningful results in the real world. Some examples include the customer agent built for large call center environments, to fast food ordering handled by our Food AI agent. The team is transforming how enterprises connect with customers through the power of AI. We also offer unique experiences for team members where you get to work directly with the model builders (Google DeepMind / Vertex), learn and work with brilliant AI leaders, and have access to Global 1000 customers via our existing Google Cloud relationships. The opportunity in this space is tremendous.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Define the multi-year product vision and roadmap for Enterprise Agents. Synthesize market signals, technical capabilities, and customer needs to identify 0-to-1 opportunities that drive significant commercial impact.
- Act as a technical and strategic authority across Google Cloud, influencing stakeholders in Research, Engineering, and GTM. Align disparate teams toward a unified architecture for agentic workflows.
- Architect scalable frameworks that allow agents to interact securely and deterministically with enterprise systems of record.
- Partner with C-level executives at key enterprise customers to understand their most complex operational bottlenecks. Translate these insights into requirements for the next generation of AI models.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to define pricing models, go-to-market strategies, and value propositions that resonate with enterprise buyers.
