Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project
management, engineering, and construction of data centers or mission
critical facilities. - 5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security
monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, or
infrastructure. - Ability to travel and be onsite 5 days a week.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- 5 years of experience in managing vendor relationships.
- 5 years of experience working with electrical or mechanical systems.
- Understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast-track design-build processes.

Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
As Google continues to expand its global infrastructure, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Program Lead to join our Data Center Construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in bringing our data centers to life by managing a changing, national-level program.
You will oversee various stages of the project life-cycle from initial concept and design through construction and final deployment. You will require seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain on track and within budget, all while maintaining Google’s high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage multiple data center projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases, including concept development, design, construction, and deployment.
- Gather and analyze internal requirements, translating them into effective solutions that meet the needs of our data center operations teams.
- Work effectively within a matrix organization, collaborating with cross-functional partners, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
- Analyze and evaluate construction issues, developing creative solutions that minimize impact on project timelines and cost.
