Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
- 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
- 3 years of experience managing partner or client-facing projects, troubleshooting technical issues for partners or customers.
- Experience with data analysis and database management (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience in an analytical role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
- Passion for the media industry.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently, in order to communicate effectively with local partners.

We own strategic partner engagement, technical solution design and implementation, technical consulting for internal and external business stakeholders, and tools and services for scaled operations. YouTube Commerce Platform and Premium, and TV subscriptions are some of the product areas our team works on, bringing partnerships agreements to life and driving business impact.
YouTube's Commerce Partner Engineering team is a global team responsible for enabling product partnership initiatives for the success and growth of YouTube's subscriptions products. This includes solutions engineering with leading telecom companies, process engineering of new product solutions and tools, and data and insights for business teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead technical integrations with partners (mainly telcos) in APAC, and ensure the prompt resolution of pre and post launch technical challenges.
- Understand operational workflows, and identify and address tool needs to enable operational scaling of partner integrations.
- Improve product feature offerings by advocating for new product features and providing partner feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
- Provide technical consulting and data insights to business teams.
