Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience in distributed databases and large-scale distributed systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Ability to lead teams to launches and track record of executing multi-year projects.

Napa is the new peta-scale, multi-homed, distributed storage engine optimized for high-update throughput of metrics data. Napa provides materialized views, supports low-latency point queries and high-throughput table scans, updates are consistently applied to materialized views across data centers.
Napa improves Mesa's analytical storage solution with the features of flexible data models, including the support for all GoogleSQL data types. Low-latency and flexible update operations. Effective view management. Self-service through simplified user interfaces and extensibility. PII (security and privacy) support. Higher resource efficiency compared to Mesa. Removal of legacy Mesa concepts.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. Responsibilities
- Lead a service or component area of Napa's expansion in Bangalore. This includes providing technical leadership on high-impact projects.
- Collaborate on planning a roadmap. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Deploy infrastructure productionization. Large-scale distributed system development.
- Partner with infrastructure and client teams to guide integrations.
- Review designs and code of other engineers for quality and correctness.
