Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 8 years of experience in mechanical test engineering for consumer hardware.
- Experience with test fixture design, assembly, development, system bring-up, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with factory automation, ongoing system monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
- Experience with design validation, DOE, and failure analysis investigation.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools such as NX and SolidWorks.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with mechanical tests such as force testing, water leak tests, and durability and life cycle testing.
- Experience in high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing with smartphones or similar devices.
- Experience in mechanical design principles, fixture design, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Agile.
- Knowledge of DFM principles and a track record of providing effective feedback on product design.

Responsibilities
- Drive the technical execution of mechanical manufacturing test and automation strategies.
- Oversee the design and validation of mechanical test fixtures from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with product design teams to provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback and improve manufacturability.
- Develop new mechanical test methods to address product changes and quality requirements.
- Analyze test data to identify trends and implement root-cause corrective actions.
