Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
The NetSoft team's mission is to "enable agile planning, optimized design, and rapid deployment cycle times for Google's production and corporate networks."
In this role, you will be working on a varied set of software systems ranging from network planning, modeling the physical networks, and simulations to identify failures and remediate or eliminate all kinds of risks. You will be playing a critical and leadership role in business-critical, cross-functional projects such as enabling AI/ML, Cloud expansions at a 10X speed than today, and innovation on all fronts of network planning, risk assessment, and risk remediation at global scale by utilizing AI/ML.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop and grow talent among our engineers and future engineering leaders.
- Build broad consensus and bring in several viewpoints and requirements, while being a decision maker.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to the teams to land on an architecture that can support our short-term plans and long-term goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional partner leads to ensure that we are driving value directly to our customers and listening to their feedback.
- Define a goal and roadmap for the team that communicates the best of our offerings to our partners.
