- Experience driving cross-functional programs and influencing executives and stakeholders across global organizations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or other advanced degree.
- Experience managing partnerships.
- Experience working autonomously in an ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
The AI, Research, and Core Partnerships team supports partnerships for the global product areas of research, Google DeepMind (GDM), and core. The team empowers and enables project teams by understanding their mission, identifying partners, initiating relationships, negotiating agreements, and serving as a strategic advisor to advance the product area objectives, including the launch of new AI models.
The team also works with the GAPP and Country teams, as well as with the global generative AI data acquisition teams in GDM, research and core partnerships teams, and also several cross-product area and cross-functional stakeholders.
As the Senior Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of critical third-party data partnerships to power Google DeepMind's foundational AI models, (e.g., Gemini). You will translate research needs into data acquisition strategies, ensuring a pipeline of data assets aligned with Gemini's core capability priorities.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Understand GDM needs and translate them into sourcing strategies and partnership opportunities for third-party data for Gemini.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners, with a focus on the media sector.
- Lead negotiation of partnership agreements, navigating commercial terms, usage rights, data specifications, and legal/ethical compliance considerations.
- Build collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure seamless agreement execution. Influence and align cross-functional teams towards shared objectives.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the AI landscape, key players, and emerging trends. Adhere to and contribute to refining the team's operational processes, ensuring efficient agreements, and accurate pipeline management.
