Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a research or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience translating business problems into research questions and translating research findings and insights into marketing recommendations.
  • 5 years of experience designing, scoping, executing, and delivering research and analysis projects.
  • Experience managing research and measurement agencies.
  • Experience with SQL and BI, and agentic tools (e.g., Looker, Gemini for insights).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience in management consulting focus on marketing measurement or quantitative disciplines.
  • Experience influencing executive leadership with cohesive narratives built on a mix of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python) and data science techniques.
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings, approaches and recommendations to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to solve problems in changing, and ambiguous business environments through data intuition and business acumen.

YouTube Marketing Analytics is a 30+ analyst team that influences and informs YouTube’s marketing and products teams. We work on projects that are at the heart of go-to-market and brand strategy for YouTube using data to ensure our marketing efforts are efficiently and effectively deployed.

As a Business Analyst on core and cultural moments, you will partner closely with YouTube marketing and product teams to engage casual users with YouTube exclusive content during tentpole moments (sports, award ceremonies, cultural celebrations) and re-engage lapsed users with off platform brand campaigns. You will be tasked with partnering close with data scientists on the team to translate ambiguous business questions into measurement and insights roadmaps and ultimately ensure the analytics team’s work is cohesive, actionable and impactful.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Connect strategy and business questions into individual investigative work streams including delivering a cohesive narrative on learnings and how to translate those into next steps for campaign and tent pole moments.
  • Develop assessments to inform marketing strategy; campaign and user segmentation: slicing to understand reach, performance, and opportunities.
  • Support metric design and goals for YouTube lead level objectives and key results (OKRs) for marketing. Act as a thought partner to product marketing manager (PMM) on rationales and insights on performance drivers of OKRs.
  • Drive alignment on scope for agentic and business intelligence (BI) tools to enable marketers and work closely with infrastructure team on quality assurance (QA) and delivery of such tools to ensure adoption.
