Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience in implementing software stack responsible for large-scale data processing systems or large-scale database systems at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Architect our data storage systems and indexing by working with Engineers and product leaders to store and process exabytes of data for the Chronicle Data Intelligence and Platform capabilities.
Work with teammates to identify opportunities to make our platform simpler, more scalable, and able to unleash the full potential of our customers’ data.
Solve complex problems related to interactions between the Chronicle environment and those of our customers.
Lead design of major software components, systems, and features.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve our platform.
