Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience managing and scaling UX related programs.
  • 8 years of experience driving operational efforts across organizations.
  • Experience with UX disciplines and user-centered development tools and methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing data and leveraging insights to develop solutions.
  • Experience with the velocity/productivity of teams, products, and systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with XR (Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR)/Mixed Reality (MR)) space or Android.
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written) across different organizational levels.

UX Programs & Operations drives projects by increasing communication, streamlining the UX design process, and fostering a culture of user-centered development. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to create industry-leading products based on user insights.

As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management with a passion for user experience to improve the design of products used by billions. Your role is to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure deadlines are met. You will harmonize the work of various UX disciplines and cross-functional partners to drive team objectives and create innovative experiences.

This critical program leadership role for the newly formed XR UX Studio involves partnering closely with the Studio UX lead, and UX, Cross-functional (XFN) and Cross-Product Area (XPA) leads, to build and drive a horizontal XR Studio program across visual design, motion design, UX writing, content design and UX engineering, with aim of developing cohesive, expertly crafted experiences and narratives across the full spectrum of Android XR devices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage high-impact UX programs for the newly formed XR Studio team, which brings together visual design, motion design, UX engineering, UX writing and UX content design, focused on bringing elevated, polished UX experiences across the spectrum of Android XR devices and experiences.
  • Partner with Studio lead to define/drive working model for this newly formed Studio, including developing and leading engagement/collaboration framework across UX and cross-functional partners.
  • Own and drive Studio planning, prioritization, roadmap, allocation of resources across workstreams.
  • Develop and optimize processes to drive Studio effectiveness. Identify team needs/programs including on design systems, demo production, documentation, and asset management. Drive changes and ensure UX team is enabled to create excellent user experiences, and make the most impact, at scale.
  • Establish clear communications strategy and cadence to cross-functional team leads and executive management.
