Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience in software development using Go.
- Experience building and deploying applications using containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Artifact Registry is Google Cloud Platforms (GCP) universal package manager for building artifacts and dependencies. It is the successor to the Container Registry. We are a unique service in GCP in that we integrate closely with the open source clients used to push and pull artifacts. The product plays a critical strategic role for GCP while also being independently profitable.
In this role you will be focusing on:
- Building new features on the platform to support customer needs and to match competitors.
- Integrating with the 'Secure Source To Prod' efforts that span across all the Cloud CI/CD products.
- Making sure Artifact Registry meets all the compliance criteria required by large GCP customers.
US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Designing and building features in the Artifact Registry back end service.
- Designing and building gcloud SDK command line support corresponding to back end features.
- Designing and building open source command line tools to augment Artifact Registry usage scenarios.
- General Software Engineering - Design, implementation and support of the Artifact Registry service.
