Salary support is available to allow appropriate focus on research.

Salary will be based on the academic level of entry and on the applicant’s qualifications. While non-tenure track, conversion to the tenure track is possible with successful award of independent funding.

Position Summary
The Indiana University Department of Dermatology and the Musculoskeletal Institute seek applications for a non-tenured faculty position as Assistant Research Professor. This is a full-time scientist track faculty position. This position will report directly to the Department Chair.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or terminal degree required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field and should have demonstrated research experience in fibrosis, including but not limited to liver fibrosis, pulmonary fibrosis, or cardiac fibrosis, a track record of NIH and/or Foundation grant funding, and clear potential to serve as an investigator on a NIH funded research grant. At least five years of post-doctoral expertise including experience in investigation of advanced molecular biology techniques, and the techniques of molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology.
