Product Manager
We have an opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Products team, reporting to our VP, Product Management, based in Burnaby, BC. In this pivotal role, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the industry’s leading security solutions across network security, cloud security and/or security automation teams. Collaborating closely with Infoblox organizations, including Customer Assurance, Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and IT, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing, successful, and innovative organization. Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Shape the future for Infoblox by defining product strategy and roadmap for your product with an eye on how the market needs to evolve
- Ensure successful execution of your product vision by working hand in hand with talented counterparts in engineering
- Drive meaningful adoption of your product by collaborating with Product Marketing on sales and marketing materials
- Understand how your product needs interact with other elements of our product portfolio to drive the success of our overarching vision
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- 2+ years of related product management experience
- Graduate of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- Exemplify strong initiative and ability to work independently with limited direction
- Strong ability to actively listen to customers, identify root problems, approach solutions through data driven decision making or ability to create solutions around imperfect data
- Ability to partner with cross functional teams such as engineering, marketing, UX and more through the entire product lifecycle
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong passion to take ownership of full product experience
- Drive to design something new, innovative, and disruptive
- Deliver product initiatives while exemplifying our company values
Be Successful — Your Path
First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.
Six Months: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products, their features, and functionalities. Deliver compelling written product specifications, user stories, and scenarios that outline customer needs and product requirements. Participate in a user-centric design process. Participate in the agile process driving requirements, planning, and execution. Be fully engaged in the Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering teams. Drive the backlog for at least one or multiple platform service.
One Year: Participate as a key contributor to the roadmap and strategy definition of platform services. Drive the creation and prioritization of product requirements across the Product team. Fully engage with the agile release process. Serve as a subject matter expert on Platform services. Answer questions from Sales, Services, and customers related to the platform
