Manager, Software Engineering

We are looking for a Manager, Software Engineering, to join our platform and infrastructure team in Pune, Maharashtra, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. In this role, you will manage a team of engineers and work closely with the rest of the engineering organization to build the next generation of SaaS platform services. In this technical, hands-on management position, you will simultaneously manage various ongoing efforts, including product feature definition, feature design & development, defect analysis, resolution, and software release management. You will work on cutting-edge technology of Agentic AI with a highly collaborative team that will help you learn and grow in your knowledge of SaaS platforms.

You’re the ideal candidate if you are a technically driven manager who has experience working with large, distributed teams, and driving solutions and deliveries on schedule and with quality.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical direction to engineers comprised of developers and leads
  • Partner with architecture to create performant, scalable and resilient service and system designs
  • Design and implement timely, high-quality software solutions to customer issues for Infoblox core products
  • Work on features from concept to release through all phases of development, including functional, design specifications, implementation, unit, performance, and scalability testing
  • Work closely with various cross-functional product teams
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Monitor the team's daily tasks and track and deliver key initiatives and projects
  • Manage all aspects of software development, including requirement gathering, design, development, and testing of software
  • Manage customer issues, escalations, and tracking customer SLAs closely
  • Ensure all applications and services meet Infoblox high quality standards

What you’ll bring:

  • 10 or more years of experience in software development with at least 2 or more years of managing the software development team
  • Experience with Agentic AI is a plus
  • Experience with SSO, SAML, and/or ABAC/RBAC authorization is plus
  • Experience with Elastic Search at scale is a plus
  • Experience with scaling and partitioning services with high workloads is a plus
  • Experience in microservices architecture with Kubernetes and Golang is a huge plus
  • Experience with programming languages such as Golang, Java, Python, C/C plus plus;
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, etc.) is a plus
  • Knowledge of DNS, DCHP and networking concepts is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree (required) or master’s degree (preferred) in CS, CE, or EE

First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.

Six Months: Developed expertise in GoLang, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture, cloud technologies, and begun building DDI domain knowledge

One Year: Become an expert in DDI and cloud-native development, significantly contribute to features, problem-solving, and design, while leading and taking ownership of projects
