Job description
Azure Data Engineer - Ingeniero de datos en Azure
In the role of Azure Data Engineer, you will oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes, using Azure Data Factory. You will utilize big data technologies such as Azure Databricks, Synapse, and Fabric to handle and analyze large volumes of data. You will work closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that data solutions align with business goals and requirements. You will implement best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations. Overall, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and data models on the Azure platform on a Production Support + Development project model.
Locations for this position are Mexico (Monterrey only) hybrid as per Infosys Mexico policy.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Very good communication skills + English Level.
Mandatory Skillsets:
- At least 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines on Azure using any of the following services:
- Azure Data Factory.
- Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
- Azure Analysis Services.
- Azure Databricks/Synapse/Fabric.
- At least 3 years of experience in SQL.
Good to have:
- Ability to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects, leveraging tools like Azure DevOps.
Other Relevant Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in data platforms with multi layered approach - Design/Architecture setup is desirable.
- At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting performance issues, identifying root cause and applying fixes.
