Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead with strong expertise in Infrastructure and Architecture, aligned with the SPMF (Small Project Management Framework), and hands-on experience in the mining industry. This role will lead the technical execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant solutions that support mining operations and digital transformation initiatives.



Key Responsibilities:


Technical Leadership:


  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of infrastructure solutions across mining sites.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering and operations teams.
  • Ensure alignment with architectural standards and SPMF principles.

Project Execution (SPMF):


  • Apply the Small Project Management Framework to manage and deliver infrastructure projects efficiently.
  • Oversee planning, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting for small-scale initiatives.

Infrastructure Strategy & Delivery:


  • Architect and implement hybrid cloud environments, edge computing, and secure network infrastructure.
  • Integrate IT and OT systems including SCADA, PLCs, and industrial IoT platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity compliance.

Collaboration & Communication:


  • Work closely with solution architects, business stakeholders, and vendors to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance:


  • Ensure infrastructure solutions meet mining industry regulations, safety standards, and ESG requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and enforce governance protocols.



Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure and architecture roles, with at least 3 years in the mining industry.

  • Strong understanding of SPMF or similar project management frameworks.

  • Proven experience with:


    • Mining infrastructure systems (remote connectivity, ruggedized hardware)
    • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
    • Network architecture, cybersecurity, and OT/IT integration
    • ERP and MES systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.




Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certifications: TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, ITIL, PMP
  • Experience with ESG and sustainability technologies
  • Familiarity with mining-specific challenges such as remote operations, environmental monitoring, and safety systems
