The Hybrid Cloud Support Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for providing expert-level support, troubleshooting, and optimization for our complex hybrid cloud environment. This role involves deep dives into issues spanning on-premises infrastructure, private cloud platforms, and public cloud services (e.g., Azure). The ideal candidate will be a critical escalation point, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our integrated cloud solutions.

Your role:

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues related to our hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve critical incidents across on-premises virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), private cloud platforms, and public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Provide expert support for cloud-native services, virtual machines, containers (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), serverless functions, and associated networking and storage components.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for hybrid cloud environments to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or outages.
• Collaborate with architecture, development, and operations teams to optimize cloud resource utilization, cost, and performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents, identifying systemic issues and implementing preventative measures.
• Assist in the planning, testing, and implementation of new cloud services, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including runbooks, standard operating procedures, and architectural diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices across the hybrid cloud landscape.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to support staff based in India
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents outside of business hours as required.

Required:

• 12+ years of experience in IT operations or support, with significant experience in a hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environment.
• Deep expertise in at least one major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), with strong understanding of core services (Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM).
• Strong hands-on experience with on-premises virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts in both on-premises and cloud environments (VNETs, VPCs, VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, DNS).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills, with an ability to trace issues across complex distributed systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage critical situations under pressure.
• German (Fluent) and English (Fluent).

Preferred:

Relevant certifications are highly preferred, e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
