Job description
Snowflake Production Support Analyst:
In the role of Snowflake Production Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of Snowflake-based data platforms. Here's a breakdown of the job description and skills required based on current industry expectations:
Locations for this position are Mexico (Monterrey, GDL, CDMX) on hybrid mode as per Infosys Mexico policy.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
- At least 2+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Mandatory Skillsets:
- Monitoring and maintaining Snowflake data pipelines and environments.
- Troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to Snowflake queries, performance, and data loads.
- Collaborating with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of data solutions.
- Performing root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing long-term fixes.
- Automating manual tasks to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensuring data integrity and security across Snowflake environments.
- Supporting business continuity during migrations, upgrades, and peak usage periods (e.g., holidays).
- Documenting incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Other Experience:
- Snowflake SQL: Strong knowledge of Snowflake-specific SQL syntax and optimization.
- ETL/ELT Tools: Experience with tools like CONTROL-M or Airflow
- Scripting: Python, Shell scripting for automation and log analysis.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with tools like Splunk and Power BI monitoring dashboards.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Understanding of DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
