Job description
Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineering Analyst / Test Analyst with Experience in Mainframes, python - Telecom domain
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- All applicants authorized to work in the United State are encouraged to apply
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate.
- Strong understanding of testing processes and testing life cycle
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
- Experience in automation with Selenium, Python, Mainframe and API testing, specifically within the telecom domain.
- Experience testing APIs and using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL for data validation.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test management tools.
- Proficiency in bug tracking tools like JIRA, one confluence.
- Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Unix, Java, Python, Mainframe).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Conduct regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to improve product quality.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in QA processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in QA methodologies and tools.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
