Job description
Infosys is seeking a Senior Network Engineer. This position must be based out of Detroit, MI. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Data Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Essential Job Duties is to implement and support enterprise-grade networking solutions across our global infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Detroit, MI or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
• Lead Network Operations in maintaining and operating network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wireless and Datacenter
• Oversee the restoration of faults, proactively maintain network infrastructure, and manage escalated technical issues
• Assign tasks, mentor team members, and support professional development within the team
• Liaise with service providers and internal stakeholders for network-related activities and project requirements
• Develop technical network solutions in line with business strategies and operational demands
• Perform capacity planning, network modeling, and monitor network traffic for future expansion or upgrades
• Manage hardware and software upgrades, diagnose and resolve network issues, and perform preventive maintenance
• Creating network diagrams and documentation.
• Recommend technology upgrades and improvements.
• Perform on-site technical operations including configuration management, stock monitoring, lab testing of network elements prior to production deployments.
• Manage and document NERC-CIP compliance for network infrastructure

Preferred Skills:
• Hands-on experience with:
• Cisco networking technologies, Wireless infrastructure, Cisco ACI, Infoblox DDI alongside strong proficiency in network automation, and network management tools
• Cisco routing/switching, including VxLANs, VLANS, STP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VRFs.
• Cisco enterprise wireless technologies.
• Cisco ACI, including contracts, EPGs, tenants, and service graphing.
• Cisco DNA Center, Nexus Dashboard, NetScout, HP network node manager and Greylog for performance monitoring and analytics.
• Infoblox for IP address management and DNS/DHCP configuration.
• Solid automation skills using Ansible /Python for configuration management and task automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation
• Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills
• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
• Exceptional Organizational Skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
• Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
