Job description

Infosys is searching for Workplace Web Platform Specialists:

Is seeking a skilled and proactive individual with strong application support experience of 5+ years in platforms. This role requieres expertise in working on Linux environment, troubleshooting system issues and supporting various Web platforms critical to business operations. The candidate must have good verbal & written communication skills. Technically writing skills, experience in monitoring and operations, and be comfortable working in a geographically diverse environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide escalated technical support for web platform application issues, diagnosing and resolving complex problems thought in-depth analysis. Escalate unresolved issues to development teams with detailed documentation.
  • Perform system monitoring, maintenance and optimization to ensure platform stability and performance. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, software bugs and system errors.
  • Assist in deployment, configuration and updates of applications on web platform.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, standard operation procedures (SPOs) and knowledge base articles.
  • Manage incidents, communicate effectively with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures or process improvements.
  • Analyze patterns of failure and issues to advise application owners on permanent fixes, improving infrastructure stability and performance.
  • Utilize tools to automate failure remediation and monitor system health, focusing on continues measurement of risk and cost.
  • Actively participate in the change management process to manage risk within the production environment.
  • Build and improve runbooks to minimize operational errors and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain in-house or third-party applications,
  • Support the integration of new technologies, including AI or cloud-bsed tools, to enhance application performance and efficiency.
Skills / Experience:
  • A solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
  • Full-stack development experience with proficiency in Java at least one UI framework such as React.
  • A working knowledge of relation (SQL) and NoSQL database and their integrations with applications.
  • Experience in Content management Systems (CMS) like Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, ideally AWS.
  • Good skills in analyzing System and Application logs.
  • Proficiency with Linux-based operating system, commands and utilities, as well as Configuration Management Tools.
  • Strong ability to debug applications issues to identify the underlying root cause.
  • Good communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem to help drive solutions with App Dev teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivarted and ability to work in a high paced environment with tight deadlines.
