Short Description:
Looking for SRE Lead Engineer minimum 8 years of relevant Experience
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Salary range: AUD 108,571- 119,893(Annual Gross)
Please Note: The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Primary Focus - Ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Defining SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for reliability.
- Monitoring system performance and reducing toil.
- Capacity planning scaling.
- Automating reliability improvements.
- Main Goal - Ensure production systems are reliable, performant, and scalable.
- Tools & Technologies - New Relic, SRE principles, SLIs/SLOs, incident management, Problem Management, Change Management, chaos engineering, Azure SME
- Approach - Focuses on reducing downtime, preventing failures, and maintaining system stability.
- Common Backgrounds - Software Engineering, DevOps, Operations, Cloud Engineering.
- Essential:
- Good knowledge of technology landscape to be able to guide team.
- Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
- Preferred:
- Strong Azure cloud background with IAC skill
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly motivated self-driven with a positive attitude.
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
