Job description
Infosys is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with strong hands-on experience in cloud platforms and Kubernetes to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of containerized applications. The role involves deep technical work in automation, observability, and platform operations.
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Tempe, AZ, or Raleigh, NC, or Indianapolis, IN, or Richardson, TX, or Providence, RI, or Hartford, CT or be willing to relocate to these areas Infosys HUB locations. This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
]• Administer and maintain AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Perform Kubernetes cluster upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Onboard applications and teams to container platforms per defined processes.
• Implement GitOps workflows using Flux.
• Manage persistent storage using Portworx.
• Configure Ingress and NGINX Ingress Controllers.
• Develop automation scripts using Python.
• Monitor platform health using Grafana, Prometheus, and other observability tools.
• Integrate security tools and practices into Kubernetes environments.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes administration.
• Experience with GitOps, Flux, and Portworx.
• Proficiency in Python and automation.
• Familiarity with certificate management.
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Understanding of Ingress configuration and NGINX Ingress Controller.
• Exposure to security integration in container platforms.
• Work in PST time zone is required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred Certifications: CKA, CKAD, AWS/Azure Architect is good to have
• Experience in leading 24x7 operations teams.
• Exposure to enterprise DevSecOps practices
• Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation
• Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills
• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
• Exceptional Organizational Skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
• Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
