Job description

Position: Data and Governance - Risk & Compliance
Role: Principal
Location: Richardson, TX

We are hiring at all levels including Consultant/ Senior Consultant/ Principal – Data & Governance, Financial Services. You will be part of a cross-cultural global team working on a variety of business consulting engagements such as Regulatory Change Management, Data Governance across the enterprise, Quality Assurance and Validation of Regulatory data submissions.

You will take up a range of roles in the areas of process and data discovery, traceability and data lineage, map and gap analysis, product data model architecture and design, business and data analysis, applied AI in automation of data pipelines, technology strategy, program and change management. You will analyze problems and come up with solutions, often creative and out-of-the-box, apply business consulting frameworks and methodologies to address business problems, collaborate with client stakeholders and be responsible for the delivery of business results to clients.
You must be an Agile practitioner and be equally comfortable in effectively leading and participating in face-to-face or virtual discussions with stakeholders from business, technology and operations.

You will also lead / contribute to sales pursuits, consulting offerings and internal initiatives, as well as participate in a variety of Firm building events.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering or related field
  • Prior demonstratable experience in the Regulatory Data space on Regulatory Reports (US, Europe/UK or Asia)
  • Experience in delivering consent order related initiatives and/or working on change initiatives
  • Working knowledge of data models for financial products like Loans, Deposits, Derivatives, Securities, Collaterals
  • Experience in Agile framework and ceremonies.
  • Able to play role of Product Owner - Gathers requirements, designs functional solutions, writing business and functional requirements, creating user stories
  • Strong communication, user centricity and execution focus
  • Knowledge of Data Catalogs, Lineage and traceability, Critical Data Elements Identification, Awareness of Dimensions of Data Quality, Data Quality Measurement and Reporting
  • Experience with Big Data platforms, Relational Databases, ETL processes, SQL querying and analysis
  • Ability to work Product owners/CDO team/ Business SMEs to understand finance and risk data, regulatory reporting requirements
  • Good with Excel & PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently with all stakeholders and drive the deliverables

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering or related field and MBA/MS or equivalent advanced degree
  • 8+ years of experience, either in management consulting firm or directly at Banks, Financial Services firms, Fintech’s
  • Leading or working in a problem solving/ solution development role working directly on Regulatory Reporting (FRY9C, FFIEC03) or Liquidity Reporting FR22052a
  • Must have worked on Regulatory report creation or underlying data through Data Catalogs, Lineage and traceability, Data Governance and Data Quality Assessment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the Regulatory Data area
  • Subject Matter Expertise in one or more data models for financial products like Loans, Deposits, Derivatives, Securities, Collaterals
  • Worked on Data Quality measurement including data analysis, metrics, measurement and reporting either using visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI etc.) or Excel
  • Worked with data intimately on Big Data platforms (Hadoop), Relational Databases, ETL processes, SQL querying and analysis
  • Demonstrate thought leadership, ability to conceptualize and drive new solution / service offerings and take them to market
  • Strong Experience in delivering consent order-related initiatives and/or working on change initiatives
  • Experience working with Senior stakeholders and expertly drive agenda including managing dissent, differing viewpoints, drawing conclusions and bring meetings to stated goals
  • Experience in Agile framework and in managing Product Increments, product backlog for the data platform, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Prior exposure to working with Regulatory Report Owners, Chief Data Office, Finance Business Orgs, Finance & Risk SMEs, Business Architecture groups as well as Operations and Technology leadership
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
  • Excel & PowerPoint savant and experience in creating C-Suite summary reports
