Infosys is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and proactive Network Support Engineer to support Networking Services along with strong interpersonal and technical skills; assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration, maintenance, security, best practices, create SOP's and other documentation, anticipate problems, and suggest solutions.

Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Ladson, SC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 1 year of Information Technology experience.
• Conduct: basic level Network routing/switching, Wireless network, Firewall, network troubleshooting skills including packet captures and analysis, knowledge about monitoring and ITSM tools, Should be able to perform IMACD services
• Experienced working with: Operation Support on network device setup, DNS, DHCP and IPAM, NTP, AAA (RADIUS), Firewall, Fiber patching, Device rack n stack, decommissioning, support for shipping of decommissioning devices.
• Responsibilities:
• Perform: Checking of Physical Connectivity
• Review: Console Access to the device
• Complete: Racking & Stacking of Devices / replaced device
• Conduct: Hardware Replacement (Considering Hardware replacement done by Vendor)
• Lead: Handling of Switches, Routers, Firewall, Wireless Controller, Access Point, HVAC unit monitoring, Fire extinguishing system and related systems facility management system for Datacenter.
• Maintain: Handling of any standalone devices that are available in the Data Centre.
• Provide support for Asset Manager by doing Physical Asset Verifications periodically.
• Working Knowledge on all the Data Centre infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, Virtual Machines) and Campus Network.
• The role will be involved in support of highly critical production environment and will be engaged in ensuring uninterrupted Campus NW and Data Center services.
• Manage the utilization of Data Center facilities, including space, power and cooling infrastructure to ensure the Normal Operations of all Managed Compute Devices
• Ethernet/Fiber Cable Swapping or checking the Cable connectivity
• Hardware Trouble shooting, upgrades or replacements.
• Insert CD/DVD ROM on Physical Server/Devices
• Check and review power status at site/device
• Review: the LEDs to identify any alarms
• Hard Reboot of Switches, Routers, Servers and other devices as needed.
• Identify and recommend changes/improvements to the process and infrastructure design.
• Provide emergency intervention in ITIL lifecycle processes Incident and Problem management to provide 2nd/3rd level support in response to Major Incidents.
• Take part in discussion with Business Team/SME’s to understand the requirements and work with architect team to implement optimal solution.
• Coordinate with suppliers requiring onsite troubleshooting/installation
• Engage problem management process for root cause determination & permanent corrective action.
• Follow the Plant Health and Safety guidelines and process.
• Drive service improvement and customer satisfaction
