Power BI Developer - Desarrollador de Power BI

In the role of a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining reports and dashboards built using Power BI. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, participate in loading and testing available data and analyzing data warehousing systems, and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Locations for this position are Mexico (Monterrey, Guadalajara, Mexico City). Need to have overlap with US hours.
Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 6 years of experience in Information Technology and minimum 4 years of experience in various aspects of Power BI development.
• Must have last worked with Power BI around one year ago.
• Proficient English communication skills.

• Report and Dashboard Development experience in Power BI with experience in data warehousing and visualization projects.

• Power BI development experience:
  • 4 years of experience of development in Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of Reporting and Data visualization concepts.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development and dashboard design.
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling concepts.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake is a plus.
  • Good understanding of BI best practices and performance tuning.
  • Good to have experience in Tableau to Power BI migration projects.

• Experience in software development life cycle.
• Working in an agile environment, works on new systems development and enhancement/maintenance of existing systems.
• Design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX, Power Query, and best practices.
• Build efficient data models to support business reporting requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with governance standards.
• Optimize Power BI performance for large datasets and complex calculations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Provide support and training for Power BI adoption across teams.
• Document migration processes and maintain version control for dashboards.
