The Role:

The Product Owner is accountable for maximising customer and commercial value delivered by their assigned squad, in alignment with the Client’s enterprise objectives. Acting as the voice of the customer and end user, the Product Owner owns the day‑to‑day management of the product backlog and ensures that delivered outcomes create meaningful customer impact and business value.

Working within an Agile squad and under the guidance of the Senior Product Manager, the Product Owner translates product strategy into prioritised, executable work. The role ensures strong alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and risk considerations, while enabling the squad to deliver high‑quality solutions efficiently through strong collaboration and Agile best practices.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver end‑to‑end product outcomes, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, performance, cost, and risk.
  • Define clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring work is well understood, refined, and delivery‑ready.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business and operational stakeholders to understand needs, incorporate feedback, and support adoption of delivered solutions.
  • Support effective Agile ways of working, including participation in planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Make informed prioritisation decisions, managing trade‑offs between scope, value, risk, and delivery constraints.
  • Use data, insights, and feedback to monitor product performance and continuously improve outcomes across customer experience, quality, and efficiency.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with risk, compliance, privacy, and information security requirements.
