As a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide facilities engineering leadership to factory customers in support of Safety, Reliability, Quality, Environmental and Cost objectives.
- Own safety within area of influence. Ensure systems operate reliably to avoid manufacturing/facility or environmental excursions, own system documentation and maintenance strategy.
- Provide direct support of troubleshooting efforts for new and existing systems, including but not limited to end-of-life systems.
- Provide direct support and maintain periodic communication with key suppliers to ensure latest and most cost-effective solutions are and technical accuracy is maintained in master specifications and standards.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with safety, code, and Intel standards as well as study opportunities to reduce costs and improve schedule.
- Develops industrial instrumentation and automation systems required for maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and programming of existing analytical instrumentation for labs, manufacturing, and facilities systems.
- Designs and develops new control systems and tests and maintains and modifies existing systems. Continuous maintenance and upkeep of industrial automation systems is critical.
- Analyzes data and presents findings in written reports and provides advice and consultancy support.
- Manages projects within cost and time constrained environments and manages day-to-day operations associated with instrumentation and controls.
- Works collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff and liaisons with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities.
- Understands and ensures compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Assists in purchasing equipment, writing computer software and test procedures, and development of new business proposals.
- Prepares engineering assessments and provides technical operations direction on construction designs.
- Conducts troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis, develops engineering solutions to address and rectify issues, and manages long-term equipment improvement initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include participation in a rotating On-Call schedule in order to support 24/7 Operations, and while On-Call: answering technical escalations within 15 minutes with ability to be onsite within 60 minutes to address critical systems issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems and Controls, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or similar Engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems and Controls, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or similar Engineering discipline with 3+ years of experience working with relevant automation platforms (see below).
- Experience mentioned above should be in Industrial automation platforms, such as GE Cimplicity or Rockwell Automation Control Logix PLC products used in Facility Automation Systems (PLC and SCADA).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with: New software validation and qualification.
- Industrial Controls (OT) Information Security.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$117,140.00-$165,370.00Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
