The Cost and Inventory team is responsible for Costing Intel's Product and maintaining accurate Inventory, which includes ICOST, a SQL based custom application. Key objective is the simplification of costing and inventory valuation through system and process improvement and automation to support our finance user community. Currently the team is working on the transformation of the service into a new costing methodology and migration of the application to a new platform.
About the Role:
We're looking for a System Analyst with experience in supporting integration projects and ensuring seamless connectivity between various applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, particularly in SQL scripting (or related) and data analysis, to effectively analyze, design, and test system solutions that meet business requirements.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of talented software developers and analysts to provide solutions to our finance user community.
The responsibilities to this role include (but are not limited to):
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from other systems to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Plan, design and test business use cases to be implemented in current system to support the new methodology.
- Analyzes new business needs to come up with technical requirements to be developed, also in charge of testing and integration of application components; Ensure the system improvements are successfully implemented.
- Drives Functional Testing and User Acceptance Test using Jira.
- Due to the nature of the service, part of the tasks of this role includes assembling existing components into a higher scale solution for business integrations.
- Problem Analysis and Solving to reduce technical debt and improve the sustainability of the application
- Create and maintain documentation for system processes, data flows, and integration points.
- Be well versed in the latest development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, DevOps and KANBAN.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
- Analytical Skills: The ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data is crucial. You should be able to spot trends, make predictions, and provide actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented: Meticulous attention to detail is vital for accurate record-keeping and cost monitoring.
- Problem-solving Skills: Identify issues within cost and inventory systems, devise solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Organize and prioritize tasks is necessary due to the complexity of the role.
- Communication Skills: Clearly explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This includes presenting data and recommendations in a way that drives decision-making.
- Adaptability: As businesses evolve, so do the systems and processes. A good analyst can adapt to changes and updates in technology or procedures.
- Collaborative Mindset: Build relationships, listen to others, and work cooperatively is important.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience working as System Analyst OR System integration activities.
- 1+ year experience working with SQL Scripting or coding experience.
- Advance English level (verbal and written)
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
- Experience working in System Integrations
