Are you looking for a new challenge that will improve Intel's manufacturing processes? Are you interested in working with development groups on new processes for future products? Join the FSO Yield Department as an Metrology Engineer Shift 8 to work on these types of projects. FSO, the Far back end and Sort Organization, is a global organization that supports High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) as well as Technology Development and Pathfinding activities related to Advanced Packaging. Nearly all of Intel's latest technology wafers are processed through the FSO-Oregon far back-end factory, including some external foundry customer wafers. In the Metrology Engineer role, you will be part of the FSO Oregon Metrology team, supporting both FBE technology development and high-volume manufacturing. You will be expected to interact with multiple organizations and groups including VF peer facilitates, LTD, ATTD, and ATM. New product volumes have increased significantly in this segment and so has the complexity of the flows across multiple packaging type. Successfully ramping these new complex flows is critical to Intel's future success.

The Shift 8 Metro Engineering position is to the Metrology area, focusing on equipment and process related issues and projects.

The Metrology area is very broad, and this role would cover all the toolsets in Metrology: Optical Inspections, Parametric Measurements, Thin Film measurements , Defect Metrology (2D and 3D), electron microscopy, and X-Ray. This is a vital role in solving complex equipment issues, ensuring the operations run correctly, and in conducting experiments, data tracking, and project management. The use of these applications ensures the integrity and performance of semiconductor devices during the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

OR Bachelor’s degree in physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with 1+ years of experience with any of the following:

  • Metrology or inspection equipment.
  • Data collection, analysis of data, decision making based on analysis.
  • Semiconductor processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in semiconductor processing or a technical leadership role.
  • Metrology Experience
  • Experience in tool sets used in the semiconductor industry for High Volume Manufacturing Metrology and working with suppliers for the support of these tool sets.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$100,160.00-$141,410.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
