You'll be part of an excellent System Engineering and Architecture group within Wireless Connectivity Solutions. The group defines products starting from their early development stages throughout the development cycle including product launch. Intel’s wireless communication products are leading the market with the latest standards, state-of-the-art performance features and mechanisms.
We are seeking a Senior Wi-Fi System Engineer with hands-on experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, developing, debugging and leading the performance integration of our Wi-Fi systems and connectivity solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, System, PHY, VLSI, RF, Firmware, Driver and validation to ensure our products meet the highest performance standards and deliver superior wireless use experience.
What will you do
System Design and Architecture: Define and design high-performance Wi-Fi systems with a focus on wireless communication, data path architecture, and integration across different hardware and software components. Ensure the system aligns with the latest standards and technologies.
KPI Targets: Define and model performance targets: including throughput, latency, packet loss, and signal strength. Continuously monitor and evaluate the system’s adherence to these KPIs and optimize the design and implementation to meet or exceed these goals.
Performance Integration: Lead the integration of various components and technologies into a cohesive and robust system, ensuring performance KPIs are met. Debug and resolve integration challenges related to the Wi-Fi protocol stack, performance, and overall system interaction.
Serve as focal point for connectivity performance aspects, distribute the knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Over 8 years of experience in engineering, over 4 years as system engineer/architect.
Experience with system aspects, design and integration considerations of wireless communication systems.
Experience with Wi-Fi systems and standards – major advantage.
SW/HW/PHY/MAC strong design background – major advantage.
Independent and self-motivated, capable of executing under uncertainty, in a dynamic environment.
Excellent verbal and written skills in English

BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering/ Computer Science or related field
