Managed Services is responsible for the reliability, security, and compliance of InterSystems-hosted platforms across public cloud, private cloud, and datacenter environments. This includes enabling a consistent, secure operating model that meets stringent regulatory and customer requirements while supporting rapid innovation and service delivery.
Role Summary
The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and standardizing network security controls across Managed Services environments, ensuring secure and scalable connectivity across hybrid and multi-cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement network security architectures across cloud and datacenter environments
- Lead standardization of firewall platforms and configurations (e.g., Palo Alto)
- Implement segmentation, zero trust networking, and secure access solutions
- Support secure connectivity including VPN, remote access, and interconnects
- Collaborate with network and platform teams to enforce security policies
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting for network security events
- Mentor engineers and drive adoption of best practices
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in network security engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (policy, NAT, VPN, Panorama)
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies and secure network design
- Knowledge of cloud network security (AWS, Azure security controls)
- Experience with segmentation and zero trust architectures
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience in regulated environments preferred
- Relevant certifications encouraged (e.g., PCNSE, CCNP Security, CISSP)
