Job Overview

Come join Intuit’s PDX AppFabric team as Staff Software Engineer for GenAI agentic capability development in the Unified Interactions Platform (UPI) team . The UPI platform offers a centralized interactions store for App, AI Agents and User interactions. Responsibilities

  • Leading Big Data and GenAI agentic product development by gathering functional / non-functional requirements and driving technical decisions.
  • Leading emerging tenets of the domain including driving new architecture on GenAI Agentic based next generation platform.
  • Hands on engineer with a proven track record in solving tough technical problems and producing awesome code that’s looked up to.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • Provide guidance to other engineers on high scale distributed computing problem solving
  • Define, implement, and automate the continuous deployment of highly available, production workloads with zero downtime, along with operational metrics for monitoring
  • Acting as the technical subject matter expert: Mentoring fellow engineers, demonstrating technical expertise, and leading a small team solving challenging programming and design problems
  • Engage with the open-source community, collaborate with third-party partners and contributors
  • Evangelize the product through blogs, social media, demos and presentations at conferences, and meet-ups

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Bay Area California $197,000-$265,500

Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience with at least 3 years working as a technical leader in product development.
  • Work experience in four or more of: Public Cloud, Distributed Systems, Big Data, Event Processing, GenAI Tools, Agentic Architecture, Vector Stores, Graph DBs, Kubernetes, Semantic Clustering
  • Experience building distributed, hyper scale software platforms in Java, Python
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Driven, motivated team player with a Get Stuff Done mentality!
  • Possess practical knowledge and appreciation of various aspects of distributed service design, including messaging protocols, caching strategies and autonomous software design practices
  • Passionate about data-driven decision making, as well as automating anything and everything
  • Strong coding abilities, architecture, debugging, and performance/diagnostics measurement skills
  • Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audience
