Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our Marketing Analytics team. This role requires a strong background in statistics, mathematics, and programming, an experience in causal inference models, an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, as well as a passion for driving data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize advanced modeling and experimentation methods to measure marketing's impact across our suite of products, inform marketing decisions, and improve business outcomes.• Optimize our marketing efforts across media channels to maximize the efficiency of our marketing spend.• Help design, launch, and analyze experiments to understand the incrementality of marketing initiatives.• Properly evaluate and identify flaws in experimentation practices and results, especially in marketing environments.• Triangulate insights from various measurement approaches and effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.• Ensure high-quality data for modeling use by collaborating with multiple marketing technology platforms and internal teams.

Qualifications

• A strong academic background in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance.• A master’s degree plus 5+ years of post-graduate experience building quantitative models to solve real-world problems, or a doctorate degree plus 2+ years of experience.• In-depth knowledge of causal inference and experimentation techniques.• Expertise in at least one programming language (Python preferred), with experience building models in that language.• Proficiency in SQL and Hive.• Proven ability to query and manipulate large-scale data sets in a cloud environment.• Strong business sense: delight in shaping vague business questions into well-defined analytical problems and success metrics.• Excellent communication skills: able to translate quantitative findings into actionable insights and to clearly communicate recommendations to partner teams and leadership with effective use of visual tools.• Meaningful time as a data scientist partnering with business functions, ideally with marketing teams.• Ability to make tradeoffs between speed and accuracy wisely.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $149,500-202,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
