Job Overview
Come join the Intuit Data Exchange (IDX) Document Comprehension team as part of the Intuit as a Senior Software Engineer. IDX Document Comprehension provides AI powered platform across the org to extract all financial documents uploaded by user or imported from a financial institutes. The platform capabilities are built using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLM) and goal based Agentic AI. We are looking for creative problem solvers with a passion for innovation to join our team and revolutionize the way the world does business. The candidate should have strong background on system design and platform architecture, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable with ambiguity, and drive customer outcomes across Intuit. The right candidate for this role is someone who has a strong technical, product and programming background and has worked in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience• 6+ years working as a software engineer, ideally using Agile/Scrum• Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable backend software in Java, handling billions of transactions reliably.• Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot & Reactive Framework and Web technologies. Python is plus to have.• Sound understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and application of Gen AI• Strong working knowledge of API development standards like REST/GraphQL, pagination, throttling, caching and routing mechanisms experience are strongly preferred.
• Experience working with RAG technologies and LLM frameworks (Autogen, LangChain and LlamaIndex), LLM APIs, embedding models, and vector databases or architecting custom agentic frameworks.• Ability to learn quickly, pivot, visualize and own a feature end-to-end.• Strong end to end testing mindset, and working knowledge of Front-End and Back-End.• Experience working with AWS cloud.• Kubernetes/Container platforms based development.• Experience designing and architecting autonomous / Agentic AI systems (e.g., multi-agent frameworks, self-optimizing systems, or LLM-driven decision engines).• Expertise with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).• "Self-starter" attitude and ability to make decisions independently.• Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems.
Qualifications
• Roughly 85-95% of hands-on coding professional experience.• Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code• Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade software systems at scale, with a keen focus on high availability and performance.
Progressive experience in AI/ML, Gen AI and LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini).
• Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-releasestability.• Partners effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments• Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, Dev/QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results.• Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics.• Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers.• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies• The result-oriented mindset with an affinity for producing high-quality code• Have a customer-focused mindset
