Job Overview
The Intuit Risk team uses critical vendor data and services to protect our customers from financial fraud and risk.
We are seeking a Vendor Relationship Manager with a proven track record in leading vendor management programs at scale. In this role, you will be responsible for managing strategic external vendor partnerships, optimizing contract performance, and enabling long-term value creation across the organization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in vendor negotiation, contract governance, and supplier relationship management from prior leadership roles.
You will work cross-functionally with Risk Leadership, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Product, IT to ensure vendor engagements meet operational, financial, and compliance standards while aligning with Intuit's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage key vendor relationships across all of Risk—serving as the primary point of contact for strategic partners and service providers.
- Lead contract negotiation and renegotiation efforts, ensuring optimal pricing, service levels, and risk mitigation.
- Drive vendor performance management through regular reviews, scorecards, SLAs, and KPI alignment.
- Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities and ensure vendors deliver high ROI.
- Develop and implement a long-term vendor engagement strategy, including renewal planning, consolidation, and innovation pipelines.
- Partner with Legal and Finance to manage contract terms, risk controls, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of vendor landscape, market trends, and emerging technologies relevant to strategic sourcing areas.
- Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders on vendor selection, onboarding, and renewal decisions.
- Champion tools and systems that improve vendor governance, transparency, and automation (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Mentor and coach junior team members

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 8–10+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or supplier strategy—preferably in a large enterprise or high-growth technology company, or consulting.
- Proven experience leading strategic vendor relationships and managing complex negotiations.
- Strong understanding of contract law, pricing models, risk management, and vendor governance best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
