As a Senior Credit Analyst at QuickBooks Capital, you will play a vital role in helping our business grow. You will be a key contributor to our credit strategy, focusing on underwriting and account management policies for our lending products. Your work will directly influence our ability to provide value to our customers while driving business growth and meeting our P&L goals.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Develop Strategies: You will analyze complex data to craft and propose credit policies for underwriting and account management. You will also be responsible for optimizing existing pre-qualification and targeting strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring: You'll manage and report on the performance of our credit policies and portfolios, extracting meaningful insights to drive business actions and alignment with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify Opportunities: With an innovative mindset, you will proactively identify opportunities for enhancement across all customer touchpoints, from credit risk to the overall product experience, and drive these ideas from concept to real business results.
  • Collaborate and Influence: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, data science, and marketing, to design new products and credit strategies. Your ability to influence and reach agreements with these teams will be critical to your success.
  • Utilize Big Data: You will use big data technologies to mine massive transactional datasets for credit risk analysis, translating your findings into actionable business opportunities.
  • Design and Test: You will design, implement, and monitor tests to explore new methodologies and estimate key metrics for our acquisition strategies and credit policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: MS/PhD in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Operational Research, Industry Engineering, Economics etc. Or Bachelor Degree in same fields with 4+ years working experience
  • Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in an analytics-related role is required. Lending or Fintech experience is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: You must be proficient in one of the following analytical tools: Python, R, or SQL.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong relational database query skills are also a must. Familiarity with big data technologies like HIVE or Hadoop is a plus.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong knowledge of credit risk-related concepts, including credit bureau attributes, scorecard modeling, loss forecasting, and fraud detection.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a proven ability to dive into data, and a passion for finding business opportunities. You should be results-driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mindset: You should have a track record of taking full ownership of your work, proactively seeking solutions, and collaborating effectively with a team.
