Job Overview
As a Staff Software Engineer (Staff) developer For the Connected Identity Team, we are looking for an individual who is a self-starter with an engaging “can do” attitude to work in our Developer experience organization to help us solve some complex and challenging problems. You must be comfortable looking at and working in legacy codebases and technology. You should embrace utilizing new approaches, ideas, and technology to solve challenging problems. A prime candidate is someone comfortable working in a variety of programming languages such as Java or Kotlin with ReactUI, etc. You will be deployed in the team to enable Seamless Partner Onboarding & identity federation.
Responsibilities
- Roughly 85-95% of hands-on coding
- Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code
- Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
- Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
- Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
- Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
- Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
- The result-oriented mindset with an affinity for producing high-quality code
- Have a customer-focused mindset
Qualifications
- An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with any of the following Object-Oriented Languages (OOD): Java/J2EE.
- Strong working knowledge of API development standards like REST/GraphQL protocol, pagination, throttling, caching and routing mechanisms.
- Strong working knowledge of mobile IOS/Android platforms.
- Proven experience building highly usable UI applications with REACT OR mobile experience are strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to balance work on multiple projects in parallel.
- Ability to learn quickly, pivot, visualize and own a feature end-to-end.
- Strong end to end testing mindset, and working knowledge of Front-End and Back-End testing techniques.
- Experience working with three or more of: Cloud platforms development e.g. AWS/ Kubernetes/Container platforms based development
- Experience working with mature codebases
- An understanding of unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- "Self-starter" attitude and ability to make decisions independently
- Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
- Strong desire to learn and grow
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
