Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to drive end-to-end experience design for rapid-learning initiatives that explore generative AI interaction patterns, validate new concepts, and accelerate innovation across the ecosystem. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in product management, data science, and engineering to translate strategic intent into intuitive, scalable, and systemized experiences.

In this role, you’ll shape how Intuit designs with AI—balancing bold exploration with practical, scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing products and design systems.


Responsibilities

  • Lead design for AI incubation projects that rapidly explore, prototype, and validate new customer experiences

  • Leverage platform-native patterns (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for embedded experiences aligned with user mental models

  • Shape the end-to-end design strategy—from concept to pilot to production—anchored in learning and speed

  • Partner closely with product, data science, and engineering to connect design to measurable business and learning outcomes

  • Champion design as a driver of insight, learning, and momentum across fast-moving incubation teams

  • Identify and codify emerging GenAI patterns into the Consumer Design System to scale learnings across Intuit

  • Facilitate design sprints and user validations that help teams pivot, ship, or double-down effectively

  • Communicate design rationale and strategic storytelling to XLT and leadership partners (including weekly reviews with senior leaders)

  • Collaborate across teams and time zones to ensure alignment and exceptional execution


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, system design, or design-led innovation roles

  • Mastery of mobile-native design with strong fluency in adaptive web

  • Deep understanding of GenAI interaction design and emerging multimodal patterns (e.g., LLMs, conversational interfaces)

  • Expert in Figma and design systems, including tokens, performance optimization, and analytics

  • Strong technical, business, and data literacy with the ability to translate insights into design decisions

  • Experienced in rapid prototyping and experimentation to accelerate learning and decision-making

  • Highly collaborative and skilled in synthesizing across functions to align teams and drive clarity

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, connect strategy to execution, and inspire others to think big

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills—able to clearly articulate insights, intent, and outcomes

  • Bonus: Actively experimenting in the GenAI space and contributing to open-source design or internal system advancements

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Bay Area California: $229,000 - $309,500
Southern California: $212,500 - $287,500
