Job Overview

As a Staff Engineer on the GTMTech platform team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the MarTech platform's capabilities. You will be responsible for gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, coming up with system design, and developing project/test planning. You will also act in a technical leadership capacity by mentoring junior engineers and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop web, software, mobile apps, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POCs). Resolve defects/incidents during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams to drive forward solutions and results
  • Own and contribute to the design and architecture of the project
  • Ability to navigate Ecosystems and Platform to be steward in envisioning short- and long-term strategy, trade-offs across business and technology. Own the current and future state and drive delivery through clear and bite size steps. Support execution teams with complex development and operational challenges through hands-on technical leadership via code design and contributions.
  • Leverage your deep understanding of customers' product usage to make design, coding, and/or solution choices
  • Own the end-to-end quality, design, maintenance, and support of your feature
  • Applies left shift mindset and plays various roles of DEV, QE and Ops throughout the development life cycle and owns the E2E quality and support of the deliverable.
  • Demonstrated Evaluation of leading industry trends, and provided recommendations on new and emerging technologies to meet business goals or simplify existing processes.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent with 10+ years of work experience
  • Proficient in programming in Java/J2EE technologies, Spring boot, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, troubleshooting, and data handling
  • Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP
  • Strong communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of the software design/architecture process and worked on highly complex technical challenges delivering durable capability that was leveraged across the organization.
  • Experience with unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Familiarity with subscription management / Billing /Pricing/Commerce domains is a plus
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, NLP, and/or machine learning is desirable
