We are reimagining the future of indirect tax by infusing AI into every layer of our platform, from proactive anomaly detection to explainable discrepancy analysis and intelligent filing recommendations. Our mission is to make complex compliance simple, transparent, and automated.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll join a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and tax domain experts to design and deliver AI-first, cloud-native microservices built on Intuit’s GenOS AI platform. You’ll help us build trustworthy AI systems that are expert-guided, explainable, and compliant by design.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Desinging and developing high quality deliverables and Proof of Concepts (POCs), scalable backend services and APIs that power AI-driven features for Indirect Tax workflows
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally and effectivly with with various Intuit teams, including: product management, vaious projects.
- Resolve defects/ bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.
Qualifications
- Bachlore's or Master's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- experience building production-grade systems
- Strong proficiency in python, Java,or Kotlin, with a focus on backend and distributed systems
- Expereince developing cloud-native microservices, leveraging containers and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding in AI/ML integration including REST-based model consumption, LLM orchestration, or AI agents
- Solid understanding of data modeling, APIs, event streaming (Kafka/SQS), and SQL/NoSQL
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across product, AI, and compliance

- Solid understanding search algorithms
- Understanding LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or LLM-based system design
- Exposure to observability tools
