To achieve this, the Fintech Risk organization is looking for a strong Senior AI science Manager leader to expand and strengthen our AI team supporting Lending solutions.

As a strategic and results-oriented AI Science Manager, you will drive operational excellence by leading our team of talented AI scientists and MLEs. This role requires an expert in developing high-performing teams, championing continuous improvement and expansion, collaborating across the organization to execute both functional and strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.


Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead a team to manage the efficient growth and execution of our AI solutions for credit risk l for lending and capital domain at the corporate level. Develop high performing teams by understanding and facilitating team dynamics, recognizing and developing great talent, recommending and implementing process improvements, and ensuring you have an engaged team, always leading by example. Build, lead, and mentor a team of AI scientists and MLEs, ensuring growth in technical depth, business acumen, and leadership skills.

  • Provide technical leadership in applying advanced statistical, machine learning, AI and experimental design methods to complex problems.

  • Customer Obsession: Lead the execution of new AI solutions from ideation towards production in the domain for direct lending credit risk and capital, this includes building quarterly work plans for the team, monitoring execution, working with stakeholders to maintain suitable prioritization and support the team by leading from the front. While solving the biggest problem for our customer via AI, you will also need to maintain operational excellence via observability and advanced MLE techniques and run the business alongside execution of new initiatives. Build scalable structures and processes, provide clarity and direction in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, enabling teams to focus on high-impact opportunities while adapting to evolving business priorities.

  • Innovation: Lead and influence cross-functional teams using AI and Data driven insights and influence innovative solutions in complex situations.

  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations to senior leaders to influence shaping of strategic decisions through data-driven insights.

  • Scope and Planning: Translate business and AI strategies into multiple short-term and long-term well defined analytical projects, and manage end-to-end execution.

  • Role-models “win-together” while challenging status quo and driving changes across teams regardless of organizational structure.


Qualifications

  • MS, or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science and engineering, AI, ML,Applied Math, , or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in ML, AI, statistics and related fields, with a proven track record of delivering measurable business impact and bringing AI solutions into production .

  • 3+ years of experience in application of AI and Data science in Credit risk direct lending and capital. Knowledge and domain expert in other related subject areas within a fintech, payment processing, or online banking operations organization in an advantage

  • 3+ years of experience in leading and managing a high performing team.

You have a track record of identifying and developing exceptional talent to build high performing, highly engaged teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, including in business writing and presentations at an executive level. Use data to create and tell a story that motivates, inspires, and ultimately galvanizes others to create and then implement innovative, best-in-industry improvements. Create visibility upwards, downwards, and across the organization to ensure transparency and alignment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and ability to both influence and develop strong partnerships at all levels.

  • Collaborative, reliable, and highly analytical partner with an ability to make data-driven decisions and to translate identified opportunities into action plans. Demonstrated ability to expertly lead cross-functional projects and to guide the organization through change.

  • Possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity focused on identifying the root cause of problems to generate results and exhibiting the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.

  • Strong money movement domain expertise required, in the domains of direct lending, capital, credit and financial risk.

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, or Finance preferred) or equivalent work experience.
