Job Overview

Join Intuit’s Expert Network as a Data Services Specialist within the GBSG Supportability team, where your expertise drives clarity from complexity and elevates experiences for thousands of customers.

In this role, you’ll dive deep into the stories our data tells—interpreting quantitative and qualitative signals, identifying root causes, and shaping innovative solutions that improve our end-to-end customer journey. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to resolve complex data abnormalities, design actionable insights, and champion improvements that scale across products, tools, and processes.

This is a role for a tenured problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity, is passionate about understanding how data flows across systems, and brings resourcefulness, curiosity, and resilience to every challenge. If you’re energized by intellectual puzzles, enjoy influencing change, and are ready to create meaningful impact across the ecosystem, you’ll feel right at home on our team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze & Interpret Data: Investigate complex issues using both quantitative and qualitative data, translating findings into clear recommendations and innovative solutions.
  • Resolve High-Complexity Problems: Apply deep product expertise, deductive reasoning, and creative thinking to diagnose and correct new-to-world or escalated customer issues.
  • Drive Customer-Centric Excellence: Advocate for the customer in every decision; ensure their experience is central from discovery through solution deployment.
  • Influence Processes & Tools: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and improve supportability across systems and platforms.
  • Experiment & Innovate: Test new ideas, tools, and approaches to continually strengthen our operational and customer outcomes; share learnings broadly to raise team capability.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product, engineering, operations, and support peers to communicate findings, validate solutions, and influence roadmap priorities.
  • Stay Ahead of Change: Quickly adopt new technologies, tools, and methods while remaining agile in a dynamic environment.
  • Contribute to Team Growth: Bring a seasoned perspective, mentor others through complex problem areas, and help shape team best practices and standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: 2+ years of deep experience with QuickBooks Desktop, Online, or Accountant products (or equivalent high-complexity tech ecosystem).
  • Data Interpretation Expertise: Strong ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data, uncover trends, and translate insights into recommendations or product/process improvements.
  • Advanced Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated success resolving highly complex customer issues where root cause spans multiple tools, systems, or data flows.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with coding, scripting, or automation methodologies is a plus; comfortable experimenting with new technologies and tools.
  • High Emotional Intelligence: Able to balance urgency, empathy, and clarity—especially in escalated or ambiguous situations.
  • Self-Directed & Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed, remote environment; able to prioritize independently and move quickly with sound judgment.
  • Innovation Mindset: Comfortable challenging existing processes, testing ideas, and iterating based on results.
  • Detail-Oriented & Quality-Driven: Consistently delivers accurate, thorough work and pushes for excellence in outcomes at both individual and systemic levels.
  • Collaborative & Influential: Builds strong relationships, communicates insights clearly, and effectively partners with cross-functional teams.
